What’s one thing that most marketers struggle with?
It’s not traffic, it’s not Social Media marketing, it’s not even content creation (however it is kinda challenging for those who are just getting started). It’s conversions. It’s about turning your traffic, your leads into actual sales, into raving customers that are willing to buy from you over and over again.
Your goals is to build a base of customers, who will buy from you consistently, no matter what you sell (but be sure not to sell junk stuff, only value).
So in this post I’m going to break down a 3 Step Formula to Increase Conversions.
1.Build Your Audience.
This is obviously the step 1. In the beginning you need an audience to talk to. This is traffic. This is your list of subscribers. People are everywhere, you just need to find them. One of the best ways is to go on Facebook and search for people to talk to. Start conversations, make friends. Don’t focus on making sales. Your focus is to build your audience. Start a YouTube channel, if you choose video marketing. Provide value via YouTube. Start blogging if you’re good at writing. Blogging is the ultimate way to position yourself as an expert and attract people to YOU. Do some advertising, if you wanna build your audience faster. It doesn’t matter which method you choose, but it has to be 1 main “channel” where you build your audience. You need to build a tribe, that are willing to hear from you, and what you’re all about, and how you can help them.
2.Engage with your audience.
That’s the key. You need interact with your audience. When they leave a comment on your blog, reply. When they send you a message on Facebook or comment on your status update, reply. Show them that you’re human, show them that you care. Always ask yourself – “How can I serve my audience today?” That’s the question I ask myself every morning. What can I do today to help my subscribers? What are they struggling with? What are their pains and frustrations? Remember, it’s not about you, it’s about THEM.
3.Monetization – sales & sign-ups.
That’s the conversion part. That’s where your audience buys from you what you suggest them to buy. They won’t buy from you immediately. There’s a rule, that says, people need on average 7 exposures before they buy. So don’t expect them to buy straight away, detach yourself from the outcome. Focus on adding value to their lives. Focus on helping them. Build the “know, like & trust” factor. People won’t buy from you unless they know you and trust you. So in order to earn the trust from your audience, you need to help them in any way possible – blog posts, videos, webinars, Facebook updates. When you focus on following up with your audience by proving VALUE, the sales will happen.
