4 steps to change your business

What are the steps that you need to take to change your business, and to really turn it around?

A lot of people get too focused or too attached to the fact that they don’t generate X amount of leads, or they don’t produce X amount of sales. Even though, it IS important, because if you don’t get those things, sooner or later you’ll be out of business.

When you focus too much on results and on making sales, you’ll make less of them. You do have to know where you’re going to, but you must focus on the actual process that will get you to the results you desire.

A really good example is when you meet new people, let’s say, on Facebook. If all you’re trying to do is to get a sign up, people will sense that, and you’ll never sign them up. You have to focus on building relationships with them first, and really detach yourself from the outcome. Always focus on long term relationships rather than making a quick sale. You never know when this person is going to buy from you.

This is something that happened to me a few days ago. I met someone on Facebook maybe about 5 or 6 months ago, and we were just chatting, I was helping him out with his business, with some lead generation tips. At that time I offered him a solution, but he wasn’t ready yet. Then we were talking every once in a while, and a few days ago he signed up. This is the power of the follow up and focusing on building quality relationships with people. Yes, it takes time, but it’s worth it.

But there are a couple thing you have to do that will make all the difference in your business. And yes, with leads and sales too. There are really 4 key steps that will help you to dramatically change your business. Period.

Step #1: Get Your Mindset Right

I recently had an interesting conversation with someone on Facebook, and they said that mindset is not necessary as long as your work ethic is great. Well, here’s the thing – you gotta be motivated to get that work done, right? And in order for you to get that motivation you gotta work on your mindset constantly. At least, that’s what I believe in. I totally agree with Tony Robbins when he says that 80{f3c65145988e2e59c83e583cebd868b487b41a6223d103cb7159bbb31ea456e1} of the success is your mind, and only 20{f3c65145988e2e59c83e583cebd868b487b41a6223d103cb7159bbb31ea456e1} are the mechanics aka strategies.

Entrepreneurship is not easy, especially for people who come to it with an employee mindset. They have that conditioning that you get paid per hours. In our industry you get paid per results. You either get the job done, or you don’t.

You have to get your mindset right from the belief and confidence stand point, because in the beginning none of us is confident. I know I wasn’t, especially because of my age, as I started in business when I was 19 and was struggling really bad. I share a little bit of my high school “non-confidence” story in the video below. That was always an issue for me. So we gotta work on this all the time. As well as belief. You have to start believing in yourself and that you are capable of making it happen! Everything start with that belief.

In the video below I describe this first step to change your business in more details, as well as the rest 3 critical steps that you absolutely must implement to prosper in your business.
