How do you use Facebook stories to grow a network marketing business or any business for that matter?

What’s the hype about the “disappearing videos” that everybody’s talking about? How did Snapchat start that “revolution” with the way we use social media these days?

What are Facebook Stories?

As mentioned earlier, Snapchat has been the initiator of so called “Stories”. Facebook at first tried to buy Snapchat, but Snapchat owners declined the offer.

What does Facebook do? They develop their own stories! First, they released them on Instagram, and later on Facebook as well.

The whole idea behind Facebook stories is that they disappear after 24 hours. They can either be vertical images or short video clips.

On Snapchat the video limit is 10 seconds, on Instagram 15 seconds and on Facebook 15 seconds.

Facebook Stories Golden Rule

No spamming or pitching whatsoever! No one is watching stories to straight up buy something. Stories is a way to connect with your audience and show them behind the scenes of what’s happening in your life and business.

I’m not saying you shouldn’t be promoting anything. What I’m saying is you have to be creative about that. Find ways to create curiosity so that people ask you about whatever you’re selling or promoting.

Where You Can Use Facebook Stories

At first stories were available both in Messenger and in the Facebook Newsfeed. However, you had to post each one separately (time consuming). Right now, they’re combined together.

Moreover, Facebook stories are definitely taking over, as you can now use them in your Facebook groups as well as on your business pages. As you can see, stories are not going anywhere anytime soon.

What to Post on Facebook Stories?

The all time question – what content should I be posting? Stories are obviously just images and videos, so you have to get a bit creative with them. Here’s just some of the things you can share:

✔️Quick tips related to your business niche using short video clips.

✔️What you’re up to during the day/what you’re working on.

✔️Whenever you’re traveling – take people on a ‘journey’ with you.

✔️Curiosity posts (could be promoting something) to have people reach out to you.

How to Keep Facebook Stories Interesting?

When it comes to Stories, you never want to bore people to death. So avoid posting a million short videos of you talking – that will get people to swipe away from you.

Instead, when sharing tips, keep the amount of videos small and also add some text over those videos.

Always mix it up. Share images, videos, even use filters if that’s in line with your personality. Keep the stories entertaining, because it’s a great way to show your personality with your audience and have people relate to you.
