Many people have been asking me how can they market their business online using the Internet, and how to sign up more people in their primary opportunity. So I decided to make this blog post to clarify that for everyone who wants to take their marketing online. 

First of all, I wanna mention that you CANNOT build your business strictly online. You have to do some offline marketing too. And by this I don’t mean hotel meetings or home parties when you have to invite people and stuff like that, but by offline marketing I mean getting on the phone with your leads, following up with them. Because if you don’t do that, you’re missing out in your business. 

So here are the promised Four Pillars of Prospecting Online that will bring you results in your business:

1)Define Your Target Market.

Ask yourself – what is the type of people that I wanna work with? Who are these people? Are they college students, are they struggling network marketers, are they school teachers? Who are they? This is extremely important. And if you think, that your product or service is for everyone, you’re wrong! Marketing to everyone is marketing to no one. 

2)Once you know your target audience, you need to start connecting with people on a daily basis. Since we’re talking about prospecting online, your place to go is any Social Media website, e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn. Get out there, meet 5-10 people a day and build relationships with them.

3)Building relationships is the KEY here.

Don’t EVER pitch people your products or opportunity. No one likes that, and your potential business partner would be turned down by that. So don’t ever send unsolicited links UNTIL you’re asked for. Your prospect should be really interested in what you’re doing, he/she should be curious enough to ask you to send them a link to your presentation or whatever you have. Remember, people join people, they do NOT join business opportunities. And people join people they know, like and trust. This is the fundamental of any business. So you have to develop relationships first before offering them something. 

4)Find out what it is that they’re doing and how you can actually help them, and possibly how your products or business opportunity can. For example, if you’re targeting network marketers, like I do, you can ask them how they’re doing with their business and what are their biggest struggles if you feel like they may have ones (because 97{f3c65145988e2e59c83e583cebd868b487b41a6223d103cb7159bbb31ea456e1} of marketers are struggling in their primary network marketing business). And once I do find out how I can help them, I refer them to MLSP, the system that I use for lead generation and for marketing my business online. And if you’re targeting non-marketers, you can ask them this question – “Would you be open to a side project that didn’t interfere with what you’re currently doing?”. In most cases people will actually say “yes, why not”. But don’t ask that question in your initial message! That won’t work! Always build relationships!
