Facebook has a variety of ways on how you can use it for your business. There are two options that you can implement in your business – Personal Page and Fan Page. There are certain differences between these two, but it’s worth using both of them, like I do.

First of all, I wanna mention that Facebook does not allow you to do any business on your personal page, so I don’t recommend you to share all the different stuff about your business opportunity on your page. However, personal page is such a great way to meet new people. Facebook was designed to make friends, right? So use it that way! Connecting with new people is one of the key components in your business. Screen Shot 2015-03-03 at 20.09.05

Another good feature of a personal page is you can use groups, whereas you can’t use them from your Fan Page. Just go find
several groups where you can interact with people. If you have a blog, you can join a Blog Syndication community, and share your content there. Remember, the key is to share VALUE, not pitch your business. You need to establish trust and credibility among other Facebook users. So don’t be too “salesy”, be a “go-to” person. That way people will always rely on you.

Now here’s what you can do on your Fan Page. First of all, you can do any type of business you want, because it’s your “Business Page”, no one’s gonna ban you for that. Just make sure you always post appropriate content that doesn’t violate any policy.

Here’s something really cool that you can do on your Fan Page. First of all, you can put your capture forms using Applications. I’ve created mines using MLSP, because they show you exactly how to do it, but if you wanna do it on your own, just google “create facebook application”, there are some services that offer you that. Another great feature (just released) is a CTA (Call To Action). It is placed right in front of your target audience. So when they go to your Fan Page, they will see whatever you have to offer, and by the way Facebook also shows you how many people clicked on your CTA button. Below you can see how they actually look like.

Here are a few suggestions for you if you wanna use your Fan Page for your Business:

1)Post consistently. As you know, consistency is always the key. I advice you is to post about 3-7 times a day. I personally synchronize all of my Instagram posts that I create, which are mostly Inspirational quotes, and they work great! People are always looking for inspiration.

2)Create engaging content, that people will wanna interact with and share. Here are some examples:

  • Posts with questions – “Agree/disagree, what do you think?”
  • Inspirational & Motivational Quotes
  • Tips for Business Building
  • How-to’s (they always work great, that’s what people are always interested in)
  • New Blog Posts

By the way, you can also schedule your posts for the entire day (that’s gonna save you a lot of time)

3)Find other Fan Pages that are similar to you and your niche that you’re in. Go ahead and interact with them, like their posts and comments. Some of them will definitely check your page out and what you’re about.

4)Consider promoting your posts through Facebook advertising. This is the fastest way to grow your audience and increase engagement on your page. Here are a few point that you wanna keep in mind about Facebook ads:

  • Don’t target too many people, be very specific with your audience – male/female, what age range, where they live, what language do they speak.
  • Choose specific countries, don’t ever choose countries that you don’t wanna work with. Choose USA, Canada, England, Australia, etc.
  • Tell your audience EXACTLY what to do. That’s gonna increase your conversion rate.
  • Be sure to choose an image that’s gonna stand out, and also don’t forget about the 20{f3c65145988e2e59c83e583cebd868b487b41a6223d103cb7159bbb31ea456e1} rule. Your text on the image cannot exceed 20{f3c65145988e2e59c83e583cebd868b487b41a6223d103cb7159bbb31ea456e1} of the space.
  • And of course, don’t spend hundreds of dollars on your first ad. Spend $5 or $10 just to see if it actually works.
  • ALWAYS test your ad campaigns. You need to see what works and what doesn’t, so that you are more productive and you don’t spend money on things that don’t bring results.
