How would you like to invest strategically in yourself and in your education?
The reason I ask you this question is because a lot of the times people just go into constant “learning mode“, and buy every single course or program that is out there.
Trust me, you don’t need to buy every single course and to learn everything to start making money.
Up until now I have personally bought 3 or 4 full blown courses on specific marketing skills that I wanted to master.
In this post I’m going to share exactly how I invest strategically in my own education to go to the next level in business.
Epic Live Event Next Month
If you’re in the network marketing or online marketing business, one of the best investments you can make is in a live event. That’s where all the breakthroughs and transformations happen.
It’s one thing to watch a webinar online, but it’s a totally different experience when you actually meet people in PERSON, people that you look up to and learn from. I know this for a fact, and I realized that this industry is real after attending 2 events last year.
There’s an absolutely EPIC event happening this summer in August in a beautiful city – Austin, TX. You owe it to your success to be there (unless you like being stuck)! The speaker line up is sick! We’ve got Dr. Joe Dispenza with a keynote speech, as well as Todd Falcone, Ray Higdon, Dr. Dough Firebaugh, and many more industry rockstars!
First of all, I hope you understand that if you want your business to grow, you have to grow first. Just like in any area in life, we need to invest in ourselves. When you go to college, you pay the tuition fee. When you wanna go and learn a language, you pay for the studies. When you take swimming lessons with a coach, you pay for this too. See the pattern? This exact process applies to business.
Just recently I started realizing that myself. I actually did swimming for about 10+ years with a coach, who trained me. And when I wanted to improve my English skills, I went to 3 month classes. Whenever you wanna improve your skills, you invest in your education. Period.
In our profession there are a TON of skills that you can master. Just to name a few, copywriting, blogging, prospecting, closing, recruiting, video marketing, webinar marketing, paid advertising. Let me tell you one thing – you don’t need to know them ALL. It’s not necessary. I always recommend to learn everything step-by-step. One skill at a time.
So this was my process over the last few months. I first started with blogging. I realized that if every successful leader has a blog, I need to focus working on mine. At that time, when I got serious, there was a course coming up. So I figured, if I’m gonna be learning blogging, I might as well learn from the best. So I picked up this course called The 3-Minute Expert. Seriously one of the best investments I’ve ever made. This course alone has changed the way I do business.
So it took me a few months to “get in the zone” of blogging and start getting results. It took me 6 months to start generating consistent leads every single day. But oh man, it was so worth it. And more importantly, I got into the habit of content creation. And those little blog posts (over 250 already) are gonna be working for the next years to come.
Although I was really focused on blogging, I was also prospecting all the time through social media. My goal for every single day is to meet at least 10 new people. It’s all about building those relationships. Then there was another course coming out. Surprisingly it was about prospecting and recruiting. So I bought the course without thinking twice about it. It’s called Total Recruiting Mastery, and if you buy it, you’re actually getting 2 courses for the price of 1. Pretty good deal!
So the point is this – figure out what skill you wanna master. Find people that are really good at it. And do whatever it takes to learn from them. Whether it is a course, or coaching, or consulting. Get access to the people that are smarter than you, so you can elevate your skills.
In the video below I talk about how you can invest strategically in more details. I also cover how you can start investing in yourself if you’re on a budget, and how to take your business to a whole another level.
