Are you struggling to build your list of subscribers? 

There are a lot of different list building strategies, that you can use for your business.

Let me tell you upfront, that pretty much all of the list building strategies work if you are consistent and committed to making them work. If you don’t work, don’t expect anything to work.

There are 2 main categories of list building strategies – paid advertising and free marketing. Before you pick a strategy, figure out your budget and whether you can invest money into paid ads or not. However, I don’t ever recommend to dive into paid advertising for someone starting brand new. There’s a big learning curve, and you wanna start getting results in your business faster. 

Social Media

1.Facebook. This one is the BIGGEST social media at the moment, and you can do a lot of stuff on there. What I typically do is I always build my audience actively, by reaching out to people and building relationships. I use Personal Profile for that purpose. I provide content on a daily basis, such as pictures, videos, and other status updates. And then I engage with my audience – that’s what social media is all about. 

So whenever you talk to someone on Facebook, and you see that they can use some help with their marketing, you can point them to your newsletter (or your blog where they can subscribe). 

Another way for you to connect with your audience (if you feel that pointing them to a newsletter is a bit too bushy), you can offer them to be a part of your Facebook group. What I’ve found is that 10 people out of 10 will say “YES”. You can join my Facebook group here. 🙂 And in your Facebook group you also have content – your blog, your capture pages, and your offers. 

2.Twitter. Marketing on that social media is fairly similar to Facebook. The only difference is that you don’t have a lot of space for your content. However, you can share your blog posts, YouTube videos there as well. Use Twitter for connecting with people. You can also get into Twitter Paid Ads, they’re getting a lot more popular now.

3.Instagram. This is one of the over-looked social medium. Not a lot of marketers use it, and even if they do, they are not doing it properly. All of the similar strategies apply to Instagram just like on any other social media network. The good thing about Instagram, is that you do it 100{f3c65145988e2e59c83e583cebd868b487b41a6223d103cb7159bbb31ea456e1} from mobile phone. And moreover, it will take you 10-30 minutes a day. 4.Periscope. This one is a whole another story. It’s a little bit different than all of the other social media websites. You can’t do prospecting there, but you can do marketing very well, by doing live broadcasts. The biggest tips with Periscope is consistency! Once you start doing those broadcasts either daily or minimum 5 times a week, your audience will grow, and you will attract qualified leads and customers into your business.

Paid Advertising

5.Facebook Ads. With this strategy you can get ridiculously targeted in terms of lead generation. And with 1,5 Billion people on Facebook there will ALWAYS be enough leads and customers. And like I said – with paid advertising you always have to educate yourself first. There are a lot of different ways how you can advertise on Facebook. You can either direct traffic to your capture pages, or to your blog, or you can promote your Facebook fan page.

6.Twitter Ads. It’s fairly similar to Facebook. You can get very creative with them. Again, remember that the ad text is limited to 140 characters. So you gotta be short and to the point. Of course, it’s all about testing, and see what works and what doesn’t. 

7.Banner Ads. You can go straight to Google, and research which websites allow you to advertise on their blogs. The easiest way for you to find them is to search for “Niche + Blog”. There are also different websites where you can buy banner ads, like BuySellAds.com

8.Solo Ads. This is the FASTEST way to build your email list. It’s also very cheap, but you gotta do your research before spending money on them. Check out the recent post where I talked about the things that you should know before buying your next solo ad. Of course, it’s totally up to you whether you wanna run after quantity, or quality.

9.Blogging. This is my all time favorite strategy! The majority of the leads that I get come through my blog. If you don’t have a blog, you absolutely OWE it to your online success. From my perspective, it’s the ultimate way to get leads and make sales. Why? Because people can get to know you better, and when you call them or send them an email, they already know who you are. You don’t have to convince them to buy anything. If they see that you’re a real deal, they are more attracted to you.

10.Video Marketing. I’m a big fan of video marketing (you might have noticed that). I personally combine it together with blogging. And it works awesome! You can do strictly YouTube and rank those videos, but it will take a little bit of time. And you absolutely have to use video if you are in this business for the long term.

My biggest suggestion for you is FOCUS. Pick only one strategy, and master the hell out of it. That’s when you can branch out to another strategy. Watch the video below for more tips and strategies.
