If you are building your business on the Internet, and you’re trying to generate more leads, then content creation is exactly what you should be doing. It doesn’t matter what platform or strategy you’re using, content is the way to go. It can be in any shape or form, such as blog posts, videos, Instagram images or 15-second videos, Tweets, Facebook updates, or even little Snaps on Snapchat.
Content marketing is all over the Internet, and if you’re not creating any, you’re not getting any attention to your brand, and as a result you’re not producing any leads. So your business suffers. You don’t want that. You want to build a profitable business.
And even if you ARE creating content, there is a simple formula that you should follow to convert your visitors or watchers, or readers into LEADS.
Every piece of content usually starts with an introduction (especially if it’s a video). You tell your watchers who you are. If you don’t deliver, you’re ruining your brand and people won’t trust you. That’s the whole point of content – to share value and build trust with people (and position yourself as a trustworthy expert in the market place).
Of course, if it’s a social media status update, you share value straight away, because it would simply be weird if you say your name every time in a Facebook status update. The same thing applies to Instagram.
But then there’s the last, most important part of content, that a lot of marketers forget about. And even if they have this little component, they still don’t generate leads, and they don’t make it clear enough.
Yes, you guessed it right – that’s a call to action. You have to tell people exactly what to do next. If you don’t tell them, they won’t do anything and will simply leave your site.
